Description
Madeira Island Black is a black fig from the Portuguese island of Madeira. It is similar to Black Madeira, but not the same. It is a more vigorous grower and the fruit ripens a bit earlier than Black Madeira. It is a delicious dark fig filled with amazing dark red jelly. The fruit is larger than Black Madeira and the plant seems to be fairly cold hardy.
